50 years ago, 1964: At the movies: "Blue Hawaii" with Elvis Presley, "South Pacific" with Mitzi Gaynor and a Jerry Lewis double feature "Don't Give up the Ship" and "Rock-A-Bye Baby."
25 years ago, 1989: President Bush announced the U.S. would offer the Soviet Union 1.5 million metric tons of wheat at discounted prices - a deal that would mean record sales. The Soviets had been looking for as much as 3 million metric tons of U.S. wheat, but stressed price would be big factor.
10 years ago, 2004: While kids were making plans for the end of the school year, three area districts were wondering how budget crunches would affect their schools. Perkins, Huron and Berlin-Milan school districts were all facing varying deficits in the near future.
