Police: Woman picks poor time to harass

A Sandusky woman was arrested for harassing her boyfriend’s sister, then harassing her again from her holding cell — all before she bragged about it in front of a police officer, police said.

Seasons Cherry, 22, of the 900 block of A St., was charged with two counts of telecommunications harassment.

In late March, the boyfriend’s sister reached out to Sandusky police. Seasons had allegedly been harassing her over Facebook and threatened to “whoop her (expletive)” according to a police report.

Officers told Cherry to cease all contact with the woman, but a month later, the woman was still receiving multiple harassing texts from Cherry, the report said. Officers issued a warrant for telecommunications harassment and on Thursday, after she saw her name in a local publication, Cherry turned herself in to Sandusky police.

Cherry was held in a cell at the Sandusky police station while officers went to retrieve her warrant.

But while she was behind bars, Cherry allegedly posted yet another message to a mutual friend’s Facebook page, knowing full well the woman would see it.

“My current situation in SPD holding cell 4 some cornya** slut smfh & Karma is a (expletive) and gonna have fun with your fat sloppy dirty nasty (expletive)... believe that #(expletive). I got racks. I got bond money believe that” Cherry wrote.

The timestamp on Cherry’s post aligned with her stay in the holding cell.

When she appeared for a court hearing on the first charge Friday, officers arrested her on the second charge.

Sandusky Municipal Court Judge Erich O’Brien ordered Cherry to be held without bond.

Cherry was upset she’d be spending the weekend in jail and denied making the threats when officers questioned her, the report said.

But just a few minutes later, as an officer stood listening just feet away, Cherry told someone the whole story over the phone, including the part where she made the Facebook posts, the report said.

Cherry is being held at the Erie County jail without bond — and without her cell phone.
