Two Sandusky men are sitting in the Erie County jail after a night of drinking lead to a stabbing early Saturday morning.
Christian Blimka, 20, and Anwar Watson, 36, sit without bond this weekend at the Erie County jail, awaiting their Monday morning court appearance.
Watson was charged with felonious assault, disorderly conduct while intoxicated and failure to disclose information to police when he refused to tell officers his name, despite some of the officers already knowing his name, said Sandusky police Lt. Rich Braun.
Blimka was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated and underage drinking.
The fight happened about 6:20 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Perry St.
People remaining at the home told police the two men had been drinking heavily most of the night. The two men started to fight when Watson called Blimka a derogatory name.
Watson grabbed a bottle of alcohol during the fight, in which punches were thrown, and smashed it across Blimka’s back, across his neck and shoulder area, Braun said.
It left a deep gash that required 14 stitches, he said.
Watson had a large bump on his forehead.
Both men were taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center and treated before being taken to the jail, Braun said.
