Late last week, Lorain County social workers were investigating a separate sex offense in their jurisdiction, where a 6-year-old girl inappropriately touched a 3-year-old girl.
When family members asked the older girl where she learned about those actions, the girl told them she saw someone behaving the same way with her 15-year-old sister, Sandusky police Detective Ken Nixon said.
Police are still in the early stages of the investigation, but they learned the alleged act involving the 15-year-old took place somewhere inside the city of Sandusky. In the second case, social workers learned a 16-year-old boy and 11-year-old girl allegedly had sex on three occasions, Nixon said.
The encounters occurred at the home of the boy’s friend, and the girl told detectives the incidents were consensual. But according to Ohio law, sexual intercourse with any person younger than age 13 warrants a rape charge, Nixon said.
Charges will likely be forthcoming.
