Port Clinton Schools recognized the following individuals with Flagship Awards at its Feb. 24 board meeting:
•Tom and Lisa Geisheimer, First Mate Award — Parents of Bobby Geisheimer, district volunteers and owners of CheeseHaven.
*Heidi Steyer, Captain Award — Junior and senior guidance counselor at Port Clinton High School.
•Stein Hospice, Crew Award — Staff members have counseled students and staff during difficult times in the past few years.
The Flagship Awards are the district’s recognition program, which aims to honor parents, community members, staff members and students who help the district fulfill its motto of “Proudly Charting a Course for Success.”
