A Sandusky woman was arrested Wednesday for a September assault in which she allegedly cut the father of her child.
Davion White, 20, of the 1400 block of McDonough St., was charged with felonious assault and domestic violence.
The father of White’s child dialed 911 the afternoon of Sept. 15 and told dispatchers “she cut me with a box cutter,” according to a Sandusky police report.
Officers darted to the Ging Street home, where the stabbing allegedly occurred, but they found it vacant. They talked to neighbors, and a passerby soon told them a man with a towel around his arm had emerged from a home, yelling at White as she drove by.
Officers eventually tracked the man to a Hayes Avenue home, where he was found outside with a shirt wrapped around his left forearm. He told officers he and White were arguing when he went toward her, and she allegedly sliced his forearm with a box cutter.
The man insisted it was an accident, despite what he previously told 911 operators, the report said.
Officers left several messages with White’s relative. When she didn’t return calls, the prosecutor authorized White’s assault charges, the report said.
She wasn’t located until about 2 a.m. Wednesday, when an officer pulled her over for a left-of-center violation at Jackson and Madison streets.
White was served her warrants and taken to the Erie County jail, where she remains on $26,000 bond.
