Two injured in rollover crash

The Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle crash that occurred Friday night at approximately 8:05 p.m..  The crash occurred on Columbus Avenue north of Boston Street.

John B. Dugan III, 35 years old, of Sandusky was driving a 1999 Toyota 4 Runner when he drove off of the left side of the road, over-corrected, came back onto the roadway and overturned.  After overturning the Toyota came to rest along a fence off of the right side of the road..  Mr. Dugan was transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center by Perkins Township EMS with non-life threatening injuries. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.  

His passenger Victoria L. Wiedle, 43 years old, of Sandusky was transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center by Perkins Township EMS with serious injuries. It is unknown if she was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. 

Alcohol is a factor in the crash.

Both lanes of Columbus Ave. closed for approximately one hour.

The crash is still under investigation.
