Nathan Nye, 44, of Oak Harbor, displays the walleye he hauled in earlier this month during a visit to Catawba, where fishermen have been pulling in huge walleye this season.
As of today the daily catch limit for walleye caught in Lake Erie is four per angler, with a size limit of 15 inches.
The regulation remains in effect until April 30, and any regulations beyond that date have yet to be set.
