50 years ago, 1964: Emory Fox, of Fox Road, killed 12 foxes. He brought the 48 fox feet to the Erie County Sheriff's office for his receipt. The county paid a bounty of $4 per fox. Fox said he wanted to get rid of the foxes so he could trap muskrat.
25 years ago, 1989: Ronald Reagan joined President Bush and a lengthening list of Republicans in opposing the candidacy of David Duke, a former imperial wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, in a bitter GOP runoff election for the Louisiana state Legislature.
10 years ago, 2004: You can now have your very own Navy F/A-18A Hornet jet fighter. The price for the jet, which formerly belonged to the Navy's Blue Angels, was just over $1 million on eBay, or about $9 million for a buyer who would prefer it assembled, painted and certified ready-to-fly.
