A Sandusky man was arrested Sunday evening after he allegedly karate-chopped his girlfriend’s throat. Kennedy Wilkin, 49, 1300 block Carr St., was charged with felony disrupting public service and domestic violence, along with misdemeanor assault and a bench warrant.
Wilkin’s girlfriend called police around 7:30 p.m. Sunday after she made her way to a friend’s Harrison Street home, according to a Sandusky police report. She said a drunken Wilkin returned home and began performing martial arts on her.
He allegedly “chopped” her throat then snapped her phone in half as he taunted her about calling police, the report said.
He also allegedly punched holes in the walls. When the woman fled the home, Wilkin gave her “one hour to return home with his pork chops,” the report stated.
Earlier that day, the woman called police when Wilkin kept hitting her with a pillow and lobbed metal objects in her direction, the report said.
Wilkin was held at the Erie County jail without bond.
