Demarcus Crosby, 31, 200 block of Gilcher Court, told officers he was walking down Columbus Avenue when at about 11:20 p.m., near Townsend Street, he felt an object up against his back and heard a man say, “Give me your money”

Crosby said he took out $63 in cash and handed it to two males, who then ran away. When he turned around, he saw a tall, thin male about 6-feet tall, dressed in a black coat and black pants, and another male, about 5-feet 9-inches tall with a stocky build, wearing a “puffy” vest-type black coat and black pants, according to a police report. Crosby could not determine either man’s skin color.

Police detained two men in the area, but they were not dressed in black clothes. One offered to let police search him, and only $6 was found. Crosby said he knew one of the men and did not believe the man would have robbed him. Police let the two men go.
