50 years ago, 1964: President Johnson announced a surprise budget cut to $97.9 billion, $500 million smaller than estimated spending under Kennedy's final, record-setting budget.
25 years ago, 1989: Sandusky Boat Lines, owner of the City of Sandusky cruise ship, announced it would file a civil lawsuit against the City of Sandusky in an attempt to have the city's contract with the Goodtime I declared illegal.
10 years ago, 2004: After years of planning and hard work, the Sandusky Library completed its final phase of renovations with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The renovations allowed Sandusky to blend two historic buildings - the Erie County Jail and the original Carnegie Library and nearly tripled the space of the old library.
