A Sandusky man has been missing since Monday afternoon and left a suicide note saying he was going to jump off a pier.
Donald Murr, 42, 1000 block Hayes Ave., was last seen wearing jeans, a white thermal shirt, black T-shirt and a green-andblack plaid jacket, according to a Sandusky police report. He is a 6-foot-1 white man, 165 pounds, with blue eyes, black hair, a goatee and a large spider web tattoo on his face.
Murr’s girlfriend last saw him at about 1 p.m. Monday, the report said. A few hours later, one of Murr’s ex-girlfriends contacted the woman, saying she’d received a suicide note from Murr.
In the note, Murr said he was going to the pier to find a place to jump into the water, the report said. He also wrote that he didn’t want anyone to find him.
Sandusky officers scoured the shoreline Tuesday, including the areas around Jackson Street Pier, but they found no signs anyone had entered the water, Sandusky police Sgt. Tracey Susana said.
