After the collision, the Avalanche continued west and slammed into the front of a car stopped at the light, waiting to leave the mall exit.
The front seat passenger of the Focus and the driver of the Avalanche were taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center for treatment by Perkins and Sandusky firefighters.
It was unclear whether the driver of the Focus also was taken to the hospital.
The driver of the third car was not injured.
A fourth driver, who was traveling north on U.S. 250 beside the Avalanche just before the Focus pulled into the intersection was able to stop before colliding with the vehicle, Jeffries said.
Debris from the collision struck the fourth vehicle, causing a small dent in the car.
The Avalanche and the Focus were towed from the scene.
