City, township agree to share casino revenue

Associated Press • Nov 18, 2013 at 9:30 PM

The agreement ends a four-year dispute between Columbus and Franklin Township.

The casino sits on land that the city annexed from the township.

The Columbus Dispatch reported Columbus will get most of the estimated $4.6 million in annual income taxes, while Franklin Township will get about $750,000 each year for the next 50 years.

The city and township also agreed to share the tax revenue from businesses in a economic-development district around the casino.
