Marcella Trumbull, 41, 1000 block W. Washington St., was charged with aggravated menacing and obstruction.

A woman later identified as calling from Trumbull’s number contacted Sandusky police around 8 p.m., claiming someone was following her, according to a police report. When police initially investigated the area, Trumbull was standing outside, but made no attempts to get an officer’s attention, the report said.

Trumbull later said she was at a man’s Fulton Street home when he slapped her face, but said she was not going to do anything about it, the report said. When Trumbull later turned to walk inside, she allegedly yelled in front of police that she was going to kill the man.

She then opened her door and yelled that she was going to get guns and knives, the report said.

Officers told Trumbull she was under arrest, but she slammed and locked the door behind her, the report said. When Trumbull finally opened the door, officers noticed a shotgun in her living room and several knives on a shelf, the report said.

She was held at the Erie County jail without bond.
