50 years ago, 1963: More rain fell in Sandusky in one hour than in a 30-day period stretching from Sept. 29 to Oct. 28, 1963. The shower ended a record-breaking 30 days without rain when three hundredths of an inch of rain fell.
25 years ago, 1988: In his first start since he went down on opening day with an injury to his throwing arm, Bernie Kosar was magnificent as he led the Browns to a 29-21 victory over the Phoenix Cardinals.
10 years ago, 2003: A corporate official confirmed reports that local Visteon workers voted down the company's latest contract proposal. The next step would be to get both sides back in to negotiations.
