Police investigate restaurant break-in

Sandusky Register Staff • Oct 23, 2013 at 6:40 PM

Huron police responded to the restaurant at about 4:30 a.m., after the driver found the damage.

An exterior glass door was shattered at the handle, while an inside office window had been smashed as well, the report said.

Officers theorized each hole was large enough for an arm to reach through and unlock each door’s handle, the report said.

Inside the office, officers found a screwdriver and the dial from the store’s safe on the floor, the report said.

The safe’s exterior also had pry marks.

Officers determined the safe was not successfully entered, and no money was stolen.
