Betty Church, 71, 1300 block Franklin St., and her daughter, Ellen Spring, 52, 1300 block Ashburn Drive, were both charged with theft.

“The woman didn’t give us time to take it to the counter to pay. She just grabbed it and said you stole this — we’re going to get you,” Church said.

A store manager called Sandusky police at about 3 p.m. for a shoplifting complaint at Dollar General on Cleveland Road, according to a Sandusky police report. The manager allegedly caught Church and Spring concealing Fixodent and Polygrip denture creams and cleaners in their purse.

An officer arrived and charged both with theft. The store manager banned the two from the property, the report said.
