Jaylen Alexander, 22, 900 block Hayes Ave., and Amanda Hutchinson, 25, 2100 block E. Forest Drive, were each charged with child endangering and disorderly conduct intoxicated. Hutchinson received an additional obstruction charge for changing her story multiple times during questioning, according to a police report.
Sandusky police went to the 600 block of W. Adams St. at about 11 p.m. Saturday after receiving a call about a fight. They found an apparently intoxicated Alexander and Hutchinson outside, according to a police report.
Police soon learned the pair were supposed to be watching Alexander’s children, ages 1 and 3, as well as Hutchinson’s friend’s 1-year-old son. The couple had been at an acquaintance’s Adams Street home watching the children with a group of friends, the report said. At one point, Hutchinson and the other visitors took off, prompting Alexander to go look for her outside, the report said.
A witness told police that Alexander choked Hutchinson during the fight, which prompted the original 911 call, the report said.
