Dylon Ridgeway, 20, 600 block Clinton St., was caught and charged with a felonious parole violation and underage consumption. His companion escaped into the night, according to a Sandusky police report.

Officers were checking the area of McDonough and Washington streets after a resident heard a possible gunshot and a woman screaming, the report said.

They spotted Ridgeway and another man riding bicycles away from the area, but when they turned their cruiser around to continue searching for the woman, the pair abandoned their bikes and took off on foot, the report said.

Officers established a perimeter and caught Ridgeway ducking into an alley.

As they combed the area for the other suspect, they came across a man on a porch who identified himself as Marvin Edwards, but were unable to confirm he was involved in any way. A witness later told officers Edwards was actually another man and provided his information, the report said.

Officers took Ridgeway to the Erie County jail and issued an obstruction charge for the other man.
