50 years ago, 1963: Kroger's had the following items on sale: Rib roast for $.79 per pound, Bacon $.59 per pound, California oranges 3 dozen for $1, cracked wheat bread $.15 loaf, and Fluffo Shortening 3 pound can for $.77.
25 years ago, 1988: Barb Wright didn't plan to set a precedent, she just wanted to join a service organization. But she did set a precedent when Sandusky Kiwanis chose her to be their first woman member.
10 years ago, 2003: The Italian-American Beneficial Club was slated to be sold at auction in October of 2003. The Milan Road facility was appraised at $2.85 million, with bids starting at $1.9 million.
