25 years ago, 1988: Copies of the Zapruder film, a copyright home movie of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, were being sold for as much as $30,000 by the filmmaker's son, a Houston newspaper reported.
10 years ago, 2003: Leni Riefenstahl, the legendary filmmaker reviled and revered for movies she made about Adolf Hitler and his Third Reich, died - one of the last confidantes of the Nazi dictator. She was 101.
