Lake Erie Baptism

50 years ago, 1963: Four vacationing priests were dunked in Lake Erie some 200 yards off shore when a fiberglas patch in the bottom of their 18-foot homemade outboard boat came loose. They were rescued by the Coast Guard.
25 years ago, 1988: Wrigley Field was slated to host its first night game to Chicago baseballs fans. A sellout crowd, including those who paid up to $1,000 for a ticket, would be on-hand for the historic game under the lights.
10 years ago, 2003: Danielle Fisher, Perkins High School freshman, was named a finalist of the Poet of the Year award presented by the International Society of Poets. The poem was one of 33 on a three-album CD collection called "The Sounds of Poetry."
