A Three-hour Tour...

50 years ago, 1963: Ebenezer Baptist Church celebrated its new Educational Wing in a dedication service. The new building was to be used as a day nursery, and accommodate choir rehearsals and provide conference rooms in the evenings. Added parking and and fenced play area were also part of the renovations.
25 years ago, 1988: Area Hickory Farms fans would have to wait for Santa to bring their favorite cheese logs and sausage sticks. The 11-year-old Sandusky Mall store was slated to close in July of 1988. A temporary booth would be set up for the Christmas season.
10 years ago, 2003: Serenity, from Cape Charles, Va., one of several ships expected for the Tall Ships festivities, was docked at the Huron Boat Basin. The 65 foot long vessel gave two-hour tours.
