50 years ago, 1963: President Kennedy announced a moratorium on U.S. nuclear testing in the atmosphere, so long as other countries did not do so. High-level talks were planned in Moscow to resolve the five-year-old test ban deadlock.

10 years ago, 2003: An Ohio man caught with 232 phony Super Bowl tickets at the U.S.-Canadian border pled guilty to trafficking in counterfeit goods. The Cleveland man, arrested two days before the Super Bowl, planned to fly to San Diego to sell the tickets. Customs official found the fakes.
