Tax triggers tempest

50 years ago, 1963: Sandusky's House of Donuts offered more than 30 varieties of donuts, coffee bar, and brand new drive-in service window. Lynn and Glenn Jerome were owners and operators. The new drive-in facility offered an outside showcase for customers to view the donuts while ordering.
25 years ago, 1988: Linda Brunow was promoted to sales director of The Harbour, Sandusky's 110-acre residential condominium developement on Sandusky Bay. She said the main goal for the sales staff was to sell the homes in the recently completed Marina Tower building.
10 years ago, 2003: Cedar Fair's top chief confirmed plans to sue the City of Sandusky for imposing an 8 percent paid parking tax. Dick Kinzel said the company would file a lawsuit in federal court within a few months, alleging that the city tax was unconstitutional.
