Terra State Community College graduates 318

One of this week's notes, from Terra State Community College:

Terra State Community College honored 318 graduates Friday at its 44th annual commencement. This year's class included 258 students earning associate's degrees and 60 students receiving certificates. 

Some statistics about the graduates:

•Ages ranged from 17 to 60.

•Four students earning associate's degrees will graduate from high school later this month.

•25 students earned dual associate's degrees.

•Six students earned a 4.0 GPA and 87 students earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Bethany Aldrich, of Clyde, was the student speaker. Shawnna Polm, of Fremont, received the Perseverance Award. Randy Oostra, president and CEO of ProMedica Health System, was the featured speaker.
