A Greenwich woman was seriously injured after her van slammed into a wind-toppled tree Thursday on U.S. 250.
Carrol Hurley, 45, was flown by medical helicopter to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center, where Thursday evening she was listed in critical condition.
The passengers in her vehicle, Kenneth Hurley, 50, and Karen Pelham, 50, both of Greenwich, were not seriously injured. Both were taken by ambulance to Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Nowalk as a precaution, Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Korey Robinson said.
Troopers were dispatched to the scene at about 3:30 p.m. They arrived to find Carrol’s Mercury mini-van lodged under a tree. She was unconscious but breathing, Robinson said.
