Ohio BCI to take local theft case

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine’s spokesman, Dan Tierney, said Tuesday the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has taken over a Marblehead case involving the possible theft of $200,000 from an elderly woman.
The woman, 81, loaned the money to the owner of a jewelry store in Marblehead, and now she's trying to get it back.
Ottawa County prosecutor Mark Mulligan wrote to DeWine's office in recent weeks, asking BCI employees to help sort through a stack of ledgers and financial documents related to the case.
