Unemployment rate creeps up in Erie County

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services on Tuesday released December's unemployment figures which show unemployment rates were up across the region.
Ottawa County showed a December unemployment rate of 10.9 percent, up from 9.5 percent in November.
In Huron County the unemployment figure came in at 10.3 percent. a one percent jump from 9.3 the month before.
Erie County residents came in at 7.0 percent in December, up from 6.4 percent the month before.
Sandusky County saw a slight increase with December's unemployment figure coming in at 6.8 percent, up from 6.4 percent in November.
The state said Ohio's unemployment rate fell to 6.7 percent, down from 6.8 percent. This is the lowest since July 2008.
