Officers also arrested five people after raiding the suspected drug house.

Mariah Estadt, 27, and Robert Stewart, 23, both of Norwalk, were charged with permitting drug abuse, while David Espinoza, 26, also of Norwalk, was charged with possession of heroin. Roger Mock, 31, was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments.

Officers were alerted to suspicious activities at the home while investigating a string of four burglaries around Nov. 17, Norwalk police Detective Jim Fulton said.

In that case, officers arrested Cory Smith, 24, of Norwalk, and charged him with burglary. That led officers to the home, which Fulton called a “haven for thieves.”

After getting a search warrant, police raided the home at about 8:30 p.m. Monday, finding a mishmash of items inside, including a 42-inch flat-screen TV; a guitar; a chain saw; a rifle; assorted jewelry; and 80 doses of heroin.

“The investigation is ongoing and other subjects will also be charged with drug-related offenses at the conclusion of the investigation,” a police report said.

The suspects remain in the Huron County jail, with bonds set at $10,000 apiece for Estadt, Stewart and Espinoza; $400 for Mock; and $50,800 for Smith.
