Superstorm Sandy beach clean up Saturday

Volunteers are encouraged to participate from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
East Harbor State Park is among the beaches listed for clean up. Volunteers should meet park staff at the East Harbor State Park officer’s car which will be near beach marker No. 9.

“Lake Erie is feeling the hurt from Sandy’s blast, but we are pleased to be able to give Ohioans a chance to help the Great Lakes in a time of need,” said Joel Brammeier, president and CEO of the Alliance for the Great Lakes, in a statement.
