New London woman injured in head-on crash

Shaye A. Arison, 23, of New London, was driving a 2007 Pontiac G6 west on Ohio 162 at about 5:30 p.m. Monday when she went left of center and struck a 2007 Acura RDX driven by Cynthia E. Ebert, 49, of Willard.

Arison's vehicle came to a rest off the south side of the road, while Ebert's vehicle stopped in the middle of Ohio 162. Arison suffered serious injuries and was taken from the scene to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo by medical helicopter. A troopers report does not indicate if Arison was wearing a seat belt.

Ebert, suffered non-incapacitating injuries and was taken from the scene to Willard Hospital. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

According to troopers, drugs are considered to be a factor in the crash.
