Timothy Johnson, 43, of Oak Harbor, received the maximum sentence from visiting Judge Paul Moon in Ottawa County Common Pleas Court.

Johnson was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide after the July 16, 2010 crash that caused the death of Ian Huffman, 24, of Elmore, and injured the car’s driver, Olivia Duty, now 22.

Johnson, then a volunteer firefighter for the Portage Fire District, was en route to a fire call when he collided with Duty’s vehicle at the intersection of Oak Harbor Southeast Road and Ohio 19.
