Ohio State Highway patrol has released cruiser camera footage of a driver traveling the wrong way on the Ohio Turnpike on Tuesday.

Joseph Kozar, 67, of Amherst was arrested after he rammed a patrol cruiser while traveling the wrong way on the Ohio Turnpike.

Troopers had to deploy stop sticks to get Kozar to pull over. No one was injured during the incident.

Kozar was charged with vehicular assault, operating a vehicle under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, and reckless operation.

“This compelling video demonstrates the enormous danger that impaired drivers cause to innocent motorists,” said Colonel John Born, Patrol superintendent in a statement. “Motorists are reminded that if you plan to drink this holiday weekend, plan ahead and designate a sober driver- if you drive impaired, you will be arrested.”
