Bellevue residents will see students heading into the city's brand new middle and elementary schools this fall.
The $15.8 million middle school should be ready by July and the $23.5 million elementary school is nearly finished, project planners said.
"We're pretty much dead on schedule," project superintendent Mike Leahey said. Both buildings will be rated with the U.S. Green Building Council and include features such as light sensors and high-grade insulation to improve energy efficiency.
More than two years ago, Bellevue voters approved a 4.9-mill bond issue to pay for the projects.
