What started as a call about men shooting at cats ended with men arrested for growing marijuana in their home.
Huron police on Sept. 6 charged brothers Joshua Larson, 19, and Justin Larson, 18, with possession of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana. Another man at their Richland Avenue home, Joseph Dewey, 18, was charged with discharging a firearm in public.
A Rye Beach Road resident told police the men were using an Airsoft BB gun to shoot at cats, but when police arrived they noticed the men smelled like burnt marijuana. Police obtained a search warrant and found marijuana plants growing in a closet inside the Larons' home.
