A Huron mother reported to police that an out-of-state man sent her daughter "sexually charged messages" while she played an online role-playing game.

The woman's 12-year-old daughter was playing World of Warcraft when the youngster started "acting suspicious, holding her cell phone," according to a police report.

The woman went through her daughter's cell phone text messages and found "sexually provocative" text messages from a person named "Ember," who resides in Wisconsin.

The girl's online chat log also showed "sexually charged messages" exchanged between her daughter and the man, though the mother didn't find any evidence of an actual solicitation, the report stated.

The girl's parents tracked the cell phone number and the woman called the man.

The man claimed during the conversation that he didn't know the girl's age, the report stated.

Police requested a log of the messages, which will be investigated to ascertain if a crime had been committed, the report stated.
