Two fires, two days. The old ConAgra building has kept Huron firefighters busy this week, when workers using blowtorches set fire twice to the former industrial building at the mouth of the Huron River.
Sandusky contractor Ed Burdue and Co. is doing salvage work on three storage tanks at the property.
Cooking oil or lard has pooled in small, concave area at the bottom of the tanks, which likely contributed to the cause of both fires.
No one was hurt in either of the blazes.
