This is the fourth year that Norwalk-based music store Castle Music has produced this live entertainment series. Jamie Castle, owner of Castle Music, said the series was originally for the local senior community, to give them something to go out and do. He said that now, the concerts usually attract about 300 people, many of whom do not fall into the senior category.

“It’s really great for the community because it’s absolutely kid friendly,” said Castle.

Though the series started in early June there are still tons of  great shows left on the schedule. The concerts are held every Wednesday (except Aug. 17) from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pavilion No. 4 in the Norwalk Reservoir. Castle said there is usually an opening act that plays from 6 to 6:30 p.m., followed by the headliner's performance from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Along with the free live performance, attendees can also enjoy free popcorn, $1 drinks and candy, 50/50 raffles and a guitar raffle. All of the money raised at the concerts goes to the concert series fund to make it bigger and better.

The series will end with a grand finale on Wednesday, Aug. 24, where a house band will have a live, unscripted jam session. Castle says the spontaneity of the performance makes for a great show.
