Six area youths picked up their first Lake Erie Junior Golf Association titles of the season over the last week in tournaments around the area.
First it was the Loudon Meadows Open Thursday in Fostoria, followed by the Willard Junior Open Saturday and the Findlay Country Club Open on Monday.
The golfers ages 10-19 have played in eight tournaments this season heading into today's Fostoria Open at the Indianbrook Golf Club course, marking the halfway point of the 2011 season.
