It's likely the season will end without an area football team in the state football poll.
The sixth poll of the season, released Monday evening by the Associated Press, lacked an area representative for the fifth straight week.
Only Huron, in the first poll on Sept. 12 at No. 10 in Division IV, has been ranked this year.
There are two area teams -- Sandusky and Huron -- with 7-1 records. The Blue Streaks have won seven straight games heading into Friday's match against Tiffin Columbian.
Of the 60 teams in the top 10 for each of the six division, there are 22 teams, up from 19 a week ago, that have one or more loss. Of those 22 teams, five of them have two or more losses.
