If you haven't seen Huron senior John Dusza's kick from 53-yards to win Saturday's game, we've got a YouTube clip, courtesy of 'sportsvideo.'
It's a 10-second highlight, but the ball easily clears the cross bar — it might have been good from 60 yards.
Here's a part of the interview with Dusza for Fandy.com Magazine:
“I went out and I was really nervous,” Dusza said. “I thought I was going to fall over and then I kind of kicked it, looked up and ran away because the whole team was coming at me, but everyone played pretty good so I was just happy I could cap it off, all the work they did.”
But the game-winning field goal wasn’t the only big play Dusza made that day.
As one of Huron’s soccer player-kickers, Duzsa had two games on Saturday and came up big for the Tigers in both.
On the soccer field, Dusza scored an unassisted goal off a 40-yard free kick to break open a scoreless game against Vermilion. It was Dusza’s fifth goal of the season.
