Matula second team, Strickland, Hillman third team All-Ohio

The top defensive player for the Chargers and one of the best s ideline-to-sideline linebackers in the area was named to the Associated Press' Division IV All-Ohio team.

Edison senior Kyle Matula was a selection on the second team for Divisions II and IV, which were announced at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Matula was a special mention player on the All-Ohio list a year ago.

Division I and IV teams were announced Monday.

Anthoney Budka of Vermilion was a Division III second-teamer at defensive back.

Two other players were on the third team; Huron wideout Jake Hillman was a third-teamer in Div. IV, and Clyde's Trevor Strickland was a Div. III third-teamer.

On the Division III honorable mention list, the area had two players from Oak Harbor -- lineman Jake Grzymkowski and running back Jake Scott -- and two from Sandusky Bay Conference champion Clyde -- kicker Jordan Colson and linebacker Bennett Brown.

Huron's Joey Bogden was on the Division IV honorable mention team.

Four players -- Sandusky's Corndey Strickland (second-team), Jaron Green, Phil Henderson, and Norwalk's Mike Montana were on the Division II All-Ohio list that was released Monday.

The Divisions V-VI lists and Ohio's Mr. Football award will be announced today.
