Clyde hosts Shelby in 7th home game of year

The regular-season finale benefited Clyde in more ways than one.
With a 42-6 win against Edison, the Fliers got a chance to defend a triple-option attack at game speed. That should help in Saturday's Division II playoff game 7:30 p.m. at Robert Bishop Stadium against Shelby, coach Marc Gibson said Tuesday.
"They're very similar to what we were in 2005; They're big up front, difficult to run the ball against, and married to an offensive system that is productive for them," he said. "They're similar to what we saw against Edison."
The Whippets (8-2) will show plenty of two tight-end formations, unbalanced lines and will try to force their way by running the ball right at the Fliers (9-1).
