Sandusky police don’t want your crap

While working at a newspaper, reporters often receive calls requesting coverage of some of the best and the worst scenarios. I’m glad to know we’re not the only profession beckoned, often begrudgingly, to non-stories.

On Monday, while reading through reports at the Sandusky Police Department, I overheard an officer grumbling about his latest call. Turns out a local woman was having issues with her neighbor’s dog, which kept defecating in her yard.

Apparently, she considered it worthy of police assistance and a detailed report.

She summoned the officer to her yard to examine the “evidence.”

Based on the officer’s reaction to the scene, I don’t believe he agreed with her.
