Thomas Edison — the Hollywood connection

Earlier this week, when I was in Hollywood, Calif., I spent a lot of time photographing stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. That's where I found the star devoted to Milan native Thomas Edison. It's located at 6700 Hollywood Boulevard, a little bit east of Grauman's Chinese Theater.
Edison was honored for his invention of the motion picture camera and his early work in making motion pictures. The Library of Congress' "American Memory" program has set up an online exhibit on his movie-making ventures.
Thomas Edison's movies are so old, they have gone into the public domain. Edison made the very first Frankenstein movie; you can watch it in this post or download it at the Internet Archive(It's only about 13 minutes long.)
