Terra's team dreams big

Terra State Community College has a proud history. It established itself as a vital community asset in 1969, from the very start, when the Vanguard Technical Institute was certified by the Ohio Board of Regents to be a state institution of higher learning. The college offered degrees in applied business and applied science. The following year, three buildings were constructed on Cedar Street next to Vanguard Vocational Center.

Today, Terra State Community College offers more than 100 degrees across a broad spectrum of career choices directly targeted and responsive to a changing economy.

And if the college fulfills its growth plan, $100 million will be invested in the years to come in new construction of an expanding campus for a growing student population and an ever-changing marketplace. The College's board of directors is pushing forward into the future with an ambitious plan for expansion over the next two decades.

Dream, and dream big, we say.

Leadership is the key, and Terra's leadership as a community institution is an extremely important key to building a better future for all the families the college serves, on campus and in its many community outreach programs across the area. For 44 years, Terra State Community College has been a powerful and positive influence. This development plan for the future is a welcome decision.
