Jail, hospital records can piece together past

This week on the Genealogy Northwest Ohio blog, a look at the usefulness of jail and hospital records in tracking down family history:

"Criminals have very good paper trails even though they are not the best of trails."

And while jail records are public records, hospital records may be a little more tricky.

"Many hospitals are releasing older records for the public to review. Documentation of relationship will be necessary for review."
